Course Name: Quality Management System Auditor

Overview:

This course is about effective auditing and understanding how management systems work. Participants learn practical skills from experienced audit and management systems practitioners. The content while challenging is delivered in a relaxed, personal manner. Whether you are seeking review skills, knowledge to sustain a management system, or certification as an auditor, attendance at this course is a must.

The four-day program provides learning outcomes and assessment to meet RABQSA International’s knowledge competencies for QMS auditor certification and the training requirements for IRCA QMS auditor certification.


Learning Outcomes:

• Apply ISO190011 audit steps to verify a management system is operating effectively and efficiently
• Understand the ISO9001 QMS standard and how it can be interpreted to implement or improve a management system
• Understand the application of auditing to processes and integrated systems criteria
• Understand how to perform audits acceptable to auditor certification criteria

This course provides a learning and assessment pathway to the following RABQSA International competency units:

RABQSA-AU: Management systems auditing
RABQSA-QM: Auditing quality management systems
RABQSA-TL: Leading management system audit teams

Participant’s assessed as competent in both AU and QM, units will meet RABQSA knowledge competency requirements to register at QMS auditor level. Participant’s also assessed competent in the TL unit will meet knowledge competency requirements for QMS Lead Auditor level. There are however further requirements to register with RABQSA or IRCA as Auditors/Lead Auditors.

Participants assessed competent in both AU and either QM, EM, OH or FS units will meet knowledge competency requirements necessary to register at auditor level with RABQSA International relevant auditor certification schemes. Participants additionally assessed as competent in the TL unit will also meet the knowledge requirements to register at the Lead Auditor level. There are however further requirements to register as auditors/ lead auditors with both RABQSA International (Australasia/USA) and the IRCA their (UK) equivalent.

Overview:

This is not an average auditing course. Designed specifically for personnel responsible for conducting internal audits of their management systems, this program teaches more than compliance auditing. During the program emphasis is placed on the practice of auditing for effectiveness and improvement in management processes.

The program is delivered on a public basis using case studies and activities. Many clients prefer to have the program delivered in-house using live audits of the organisations own systems. An in-house course is also a cost effective option for multiple participants from the same organisation.

Program Name: QM Competency Assessment

Course Code: CQ01

Overview:

RABQSA Competency Standards define a specification of performance, detailing the skills, knowledge and attitudes, required to operate effectively. Assessment demonstrates that applicants achieve the level of competence required. The key competencies required by RABQSA for management system auditors are aligned to the requirements of ISO19011- “Guidelines on quality and/or environmental management systems auditing”.

As a RABQSA certified Training Provider, the Systems 3 Group can provide assessment in a number of defined auditor competencies and, as appropriate, recommend competent graduates to RABQSA for recognition at Provisional Auditor grade. Participant’s assessed as competent in both AU and QM, units will meet RABQSA knowledge competency requirements to register at QMS auditor level.

Competency Unit Elements:

This competency unit is a guide for any person auditing quality management systems and is a requirement for all auditors seeking Quality auditor certification with RABQSA.

The elements of competency for this unit are:

i. Apply Quality Management Principles in the context of ISO 9001:2000
ii. Relate the quality management system to the organisational products, including services and operational processes.

Overview:

Designed specifically for the laboratory environment, this course is about effective auditing of laboratory systems. In a relaxed environment, participants will learn practical skills from experienced audit skills from experienced audit and management systems practitioners.

The four day program will enable your team to implement auditing systems to ensure compliance and identify system improvements.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand Laboratory Quality Management Systems based on industry benchmarks and standards
• Interpret and apply ISO 19011 audit steps and monitoring to ensure you’re on track with the most efficient system possible
• Interpret the ISO Laboratory standard ISO17025 (QMS)
• Understand Laboratory Technical requirements and the application of cause analysis to non conformances

Course Approvals:

 

Participants assessed competent in both AU and either QM, EM, OH or FS units will meet knowledge competency requirements necessary to register at auditor level with RABQSA International relevant auditor certification schemes. Participants additionally assessed as competent in the TL unit will also meet the knowledge requirements to register at the Lead Auditor level. There are however further requirements to register as auditors/ lead auditors with both RABQSA International (Australasia/USA) and the IRCA their (UK) equivalent.

IRCA (IRCA661) has determined that, for the purposes of conformance with the IRCA/602 QMS auditor certification criteria, that ISO17025 is considered an acceptable alternative to the ISO9001: 2000 Standard.
